lizard billing

Show and manage your Lizard (lizard.build) plan: the trial, Pro, this month’s usage and promo codes. lizard credits is the old name. It still works but prints a warning, and a later release will remove it.

Usage

lizard billing [subcommand] [flags]

With no subcommand, lizard billing shows the same as lizard billing status. The commands act on the plan of the account you are signed in with. See Billing for how Pro, the trial and overage work.

Commands that charge, cancel or remove a card ask you to confirm. Without a terminal, for example in CI or an agent, pass -y instead. Commands that open a page always print its link, and open your browser only in an interactive terminal.

Subcommands

lizard billing status

Show your plan and where it stands: days and trial credits left, how much of the $19 in monthly credits you have used, overage so far, the next charge and its date, and any unpaid invoice.

FlagDescription
-w, --workspace <id>Show the plan of this workspace’s owner

lizard billing open

Open the Billing page in your browser. Pay an open invoice, add or change your card, or see past invoices there.

FlagDescription
--no-openPrint the link instead of opening a browser

lizard billing start

Start Pro in Stripe Checkout, where you add a card. The command opens Checkout in your browser. A new account gets the 7-day trial with $5 in trial credits, and nothing is charged until the trial ends. If the account had a trial before, Pro starts at once and charges $19. If the card had one, the trial does not start and nothing is charged; start Pro at $19 on the Billing page.

FlagDescription
--return-url <path>Dashboard path to come back to after Checkout, for example /projects/abc
--no-openPrint the Checkout link instead of opening a browser

lizard billing start-now

End the trial and start your first paid month now. Lizard charges $19 and adds $19 in monthly credits. Use it when trial credits run out. If your bank asks you to confirm the payment, the command gives you the invoice page to do so; the trial goes on until the payment goes through.

FlagDescription

--no-openPrint the payment link instead of opening a browser

lizard billing cancel

Cancel at the end of the current month or trial. Pro stays active until then. Cancelling during the trial costs nothing.

FlagDescription
-y, --yesSkip confirmation

lizard billing resume

Undo a cancel before the end date.

lizard billing promo <code>

Redeem a promo code for a longer trial and more trial credits. Before the trial starts, Lizard saves the code for it. During the trial, the code extends it. Codes work only before your first payment, one per account.

lizard billing balance

Show the balance of an Enterprise account.

lizard billing transactions

List recent balance transactions of an Enterprise account (alias ledger).

FlagDescription

lizard billing payment-methods list

List saved cards. pm is short for payment-methods. Add, change or remove a Pro card on the Billing page.

lizard billing payment-methods remove <id>

Remove a saved card (alias rm). This works only for Enterprise accounts; a Pro account gets HTTP 409 and removes its card on the Billing page.

Payment required

If you try to create a resource while the account has no plan, has used up its trial credits or has an unpaid invoice, Lizard answers with HTTP 402. Lizard CLI prints the reason and a link to the Billing page, for example:

Start your 7-day Pro trial with $5 in credits to deploy. No charge today, then $19/month.
